At Corydon Central High School I am one of the only Black students. Because of this, I believe that I offer a unique perspective regarding the culture of the school. While my friends and teachers have almost always made me feel welcome, there have been frequent discriminatory actions that have happened among the student body. Many of these actions go unchecked, and I do believe that needs to change. Aside from that, many of the clubs and student organizations offer everyone many opportunities to reach their full potential, and I've had very supportive teachers helping me along my way. The small tight knit community is beneficial in many ways, and I love that I've been able to pursue and understand things in my career field well before entering it. Just like CCHS is taking measures to be better, as is the rest of America, and I believe that's commendable. I've cherished my time at CCHS, and I know that I'll always be a panther.

The best parts about Corydon Central High School is the teachers, they are so supportive and they want us to do so well, and they want us to succeeded in life. Whenever you go to a graduation you see all the teachers clapping and cheering for all the students. The worse parts of Corydon Central High School is the students being disrespectful to others, the students are so disrespectful to each other and they always start fights with the other students.

So far, my experience at this school has been great. My favorite part of it is probably the teachers. Sure, some of them are less likeable than others. But on the other hand, some of them, like my IED, Pre-Calculus, or World History teachers, are people who I have come to like not only as educators, but also as people. They make me feel excited or relieved to enter their classroom and learn what they have for me. That's what makes me more receptive to schoolwork: someone who can make it enjoyable. As for the worst, I think it's the students. While I have found a few friends who I've come to rely on, there's ultimately too much drama and other such things that distract one from getting good grades. This isn't the school's fault, I know this is a problem with people my age in general, but it's been taking its toll on my grades and mental health. Nothing serious, no need to worry about my mental health right now. I still like this school overall.
