SUPERMARKET prices are soaring - but there is a way to maximise your loyalty points and get up to three times extra.
Loyalty schemes like Tesco Clubcard and Sainsbury’s Nectar give you one point per £1, and one point per £2 spent respectively.

If you spend them in store then each Tesco Clubcard point is worth 1p and each Nectar point is 0.5p.
However, both loyalty schemes offer you the chance to double or triple up your points to spend with partner companies they've teamed up with.
But while some of the deals are great bargains - others should be avoided.

Disney+
Swapping £8 worth of Tesco Clubcard vouchers will get you a three month subscription to Disney+, which would usually set you back £23.97.
This is a very good use of your points, as Disney+ deals and offers are hard to come by.
Obviously it’s only worth converting the points if you’re going to use Disney+, so have a check to see what movies and shows are on offer and whether you're likely to watch them.

Merlin Attractions
You can transfer 50p to £1.50 worth of vouchers for Merlin attractions.
This includes most of the major theme parks around the UK, Sealife Centres and London Dungeon.
But unless you really want a day out at a theme park - this isn’t a good offer to use your points on.
You’ll regularly find deals and discounts on theme park tickets and Merlin attractions elsewhere.
It's possible to get 2 for 1 tickets, deals where adults go free, or half price entry using vouchers.
Cineworld Tickets
You’re able to transfer 50p into £1.50 of vouchers for Cineworld, but there's a minimum spend required.
You'll need to swap at least £10 of Clubcard points to get the deal, which will get you £30 in Cineworld vouchers).
This is a decent offer if you go to Cineworld, potentially paying £10 for three cinema tickets.
But there are cheaper cinemas you can go to, with tickets around £5 each - so there may be a better way to use your points if you’re not worried about what cinema you visit.
Restaurants
Your 50p is worth £1.50 in vouchers for many high street restaurants including Pizza Express, Zizzi, Prezzo, Bella Italia and Cafe Rouge.
But if you're planning a meal out you might want to check for vouchers and coupons for them before you swap your points.
Recently there has been 50% off meals at Pizza Express, Bella Italia and Prezzo - so it may not be the best use of points, when you can get a comparable deal anyway.
If you’ve got a real hankering for one however, and there are no other decent discount codes or offers, it’s a great way to reduce your food bill.
Railcards
If you need a railcard, you can transfer every £1 of points into £3 towards one.
This offer is only available for a one year for 16-25, family & friends, senior, disabled persons, or a two together railcard.
Collecting £10 worth of Tesco Clubcard points will transfer to £30 in Railcard - enough for a one year card.
This will get you third off trains every time you travel, which could add up to £100s in savings. A great offer if you’re planning on using the trains.
Hotels
You can transfer £5 worth of Clubcard points into £15 to spend on Hotels.com. This could end up resulting in free hotel stays or heavily discounted.
This is probably one of the best uses of your Clubcard points as you can also stack this on top of discount codes and cashback to save even more.
Caffe Nero
Transferring 350 Nectar points to Caffe Nero gets you a free drink in any size.
And 350 Nectar points are worth £1.75, so you can easily pick the largest drink and get between 2-3 times value.
You might be able to get money off your coffee without using your Nectar points though.
Compare the Market offers customers 25% off coffee and pastries up to twice a day, seven days a week if you buy a qualifying product.
Our verdict
All of these offers will get you the best bang for your buck with it tripled.
But there’s nothing stopping you using points on your everyday shopping or other offers if that works best for you.
